PM and Ministers Pledge One Month's Salary for Monsoon Disaster Relief

The Cabinet has decided to contribute one month’s salary towards the rescue and relief operations for victims of the recent monsoon-triggered disasters. The decision was made during the Cabinet meeting held on Monday.

Heavy rainfall from Thursday to Saturday caused widespread devastation across the country, resulting in 238 fatalities, with 28 individuals still reported missing as of Tuesday afternoon, according to the Armed Police Force. The donation is part of the government's efforts to support ongoing rescue and relief operations for those affected by floods and landslides.
