PM Oli Returning to Nepal After 10-Day US Visit
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to return to Nepal today following a 10-day visit to the United States, where he attended the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Oli, who departed on September 20, is scheduled to land in Kathmandu at 4 PM.
During his time in the US, Oli engaged in various high-level discussions and events. On September 23, he delivered a speech at Columbia University on ‘Nepal's Journey of Democracy and Economic Prosperity.’ He attended the General Assembly's general debate on September 24 and a reception hosted by US President Joe Biden the following day.
On September 26, Oli addressed the UN General Assembly and spoke at the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum at Harvard University on September 27, discussing Nepal's journey from transitional justice to climate justice.
Prime Minister Oli was accompanied by his wife, Radhika Shakya, Foreign Minister Dr. Arju Rana Deuba, Chief Advisor Bishnu Rimal, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, and other senior government officials.
