PM Oli Submits National Security Council’s Two-Year Report to President Paudel
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has formally presented the National Security Council's annual report for the past two fiscal years to President Ram Chandra Paudel.
In accordance with Article 266, Clause 3 of the Constitution of Nepal, Prime Minister Oli submitted the Council's comprehensive report for fiscal years 2022/23 and 2023/24 to the President during a program held at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas, on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister elaborated on the key themes of the report, stating that it provides a detailed analysis of the national, regional, and international security landscape, along with the associated challenges. He affirmed the government’s commitment to act upon the recommendations made by the federal parliament in response to the findings.
The event was attended by prominent figures including Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Defense Minister Manbir Rai, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, and Chief of Army Staff General Ashok Raj Sigdel, among others.
The National Security Council had convened its 34th meeting on August 25, during which the draft report was discussed and approved for submission to the President.
