President Paudel Urges Germany to Lift Ban on Nepali Airlines in European Airspace

President Ram Chandra Paudel has called on the German government to help lift the ban on Nepali airlines operating in European airspace. During his visit to Germany, President Paudel made this request to his German counterpart, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Upon returning to Nepal on Wednesday morning, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal briefed the media at Tribhuvan International Airport about the President’s visit to Switzerland and Germany.

In Germany, President Paudel also requested the resumption of Lufthansa Airlines' service to Nepal. He participated in a bilateral meeting with President Steinmeier, discussing various aspects of Nepal-Germany relations, including development cooperation, trade, investment, tourism, and business training.

In Switzerland, President Paudel met with President Biola Emhart to discuss Nepal-Switzerland relations. Their discussions focused on development aid, high-level exchange programs, cultural exchanges, and strengthening bilateral relations. They also explored investment opportunities in agriculture, energy, and sustainable tourism, and strategies to combat climate change.

President Emhart expressed satisfaction with Nepal’s progress towards prosperity. Secretary Lamsal also mentioned that President Paudel extended formal invitations to the presidents of both Germany and Switzerland to visit Nepal.
