Prime Minister Announces Special Initiative for Boosting Production And Job Creation Via Budget

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as 'Prachanda', announced plans for a special initiative aimed at enhancing production and creating employment opportunities through the upcoming fiscal year's policy, program, and budget. While inaugurating the construction of the 'signature bridge' over the Narayani River, PM Dahal emphasized the government's groundwork on integrated projects related to employment and productivity.

He stressed the necessity of implementing integrated projects for infrastructure development, rural economic empowerment, production expansion, and job creation to meet the nation's current needs. Additionally, the PM underscored the government's focus on ensuring the quality and sustainability of the road network nationwide and mentioned plans to reform infrastructure, vehicles, and traffic systems to improve transportation services and reduce road accidents. He emphasized the importance of fostering a positive narrative that Nepal is capable of executing projects effectively based on evidence-based research and analysis.

PM Dahal also highlighted Nepal's progress in various sectors including infrastructure, education, health, communication, water supply, electrification, social security, and service delivery. Furthermore, he noted ongoing efforts by the Department of Roads to construct over 149 bridges across the country, with significant breakthroughs such as the Nagdhunga road section tunnel. He expressed confidence that the progress in transformative projects would contribute to Nepal's graduation to a developing country status by 2026.
