In his address responding to amendments proposed by lawmakers, Prime Minister Dahal underscored that good governance, social justice, and economic transformation towards socialism, as outlined by the constitution, are central themes in the proposed policies and programs.

Prime Minister Dahal expressed gratitude for the constructive suggestions and feedback received from parliamentarians through the amendment proposals. He acknowledged the 16-point amendment proposal submitted by Parliamentarian Chitra Bahadur KC, noting that some suggestions require changes in language and wording, while others necessitate additional amendments. He emphasized the importance of proposed amendments in key areas such as health, education, labor, nationality, and foreign policy.

Highlighting the government's focus, Prime Minister Dahal stated that significant emphasis is placed on developing a self-reliant agricultural economy, promoting entrepreneurship, advancing infrastructure development, and creating jobs to foster the information technology sector as a primary driver of production and productivity growth. He also mentioned the introduction of specific programs aimed at providing access to justice for socially marginalized and oppressed groups.

In addition, Prime Minister Dahal acknowledged MP Prem Suwal's 48-point amendment proposal on the government's policies and programs. He assured that the government will seriously consider suggestions related to economic equality, social justice, development, nationalism, foreign policy, education, health, and investment promotion in the proposed amendments.

Prime Minister Dahal highlighted the urgency of securing Parliament's endorsement of the Bill on Khwopa College, noting that some amendments require constitutional and legal changes, necessitating further discussion in Parliament. He assured that the amendments received from parliamentarians will be incorporated into the annual budget statement, which the government will present to Parliament on Jestha 15.

The National Assembly is set to continue its discussions on these proposed policies and programs in the coming sessions.
