Prime Minister Dahal Pledges to Boost Economic Transformation at FNCCI Assembly
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' reaffirmed the government's dedication to accelerating the country's economic transformation by bolstering the confidence of entrepreneurs and investors. Speaking at the 58th annual general assembly of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), PM Dahal emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring a robust regulatory framework and fostering an environment conducive to private sector growth.
Highlighting the pivotal role of the private sector in enhancing production, job creation, and investment, Prime Minister Dahal underscored the importance of strong collaboration between the government and private enterprises. He urged all stakeholders to unite in addressing the concerns and demands of entrepreneurs and investors, emphasizing the need for a coordinated approach.
PM Dahal outlined Nepal's objectives, including achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and transitioning from a least-developed country to a developing nation by 2026. He called for increased investment, both from the government and the private sector, to realize these goals, while also acknowledging the challenges and limitations in current policies and regulations.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Dahal assured that the government is taking concrete steps to make the upcoming Investment Summit effective and result-oriented. He expressed readiness to consider amendments to laws and streamline policies and procedures to attract investment, recognizing the imperative of creating a favorable investment climate.
