Sanima Capital Limited has officially opened the public issue of its open-ended mutual fund scheme, Sanima Flexi Fund, from today, 6th Falgun 2081. The initial subscription period will close on 11th Falgun 2081, but if the fund is not fully subscribed, the deadline may be extended until 20th Falgun 2081. This marks the launch of the first open-ended mutual fund scheme under Sanima Mutual Fund, following the approval from the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) on 2nd Magh 2081.
Sanima Flexi Fund is designed to offer flexible investment opportunities to individual and institutional investors. The total size of the fund is Rs. 1 Arba (10 crore unit shares), with the first phase issuing 4 crore units worth Rs. 40 crores. Out of these, 13% (1.3 crore units worth Rs. 13 crores) have been allocated to the fund sponsor, Sanima Bank Limited, while 2% (20 lakh units worth Rs. 2 crores) have been reserved for the scheme manager, Sanima Capital Limited. The remaining 2.5 crore units worth Rs. 25 crore are now available for the general public. Investors can apply for a minimum of 100 units and a maximum of 40,00,000 units.
Being an open-ended mutual fund, Sanima Flexi Fund’s units will not be listed on the secondary market. Instead, after the initial public offering (IPO), investors will be able to buy and sell fund units continuously through Sanima Capital and its designated distributors, following the guidelines of the Mutual Fund Regulation, 2067. Investors can subscribe to units via Sanima Capital’s office, designated bank branches, or online platforms like Mero Share, using their linked bank accounts. Additionally, a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) is available for those who wish to invest regularly.
Sanima Capital Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sanima Bank Limited, has been managing mutual funds in Nepal for the past nine years. It currently operates two closed-end mutual fund schemes Sanima Large Cap Fund (SLCF) and Sanima Growth Fund (SAGF). Previously, it managed Sanima Equity Fund, which completed its seven-year tenure, delivering an estimated annualized return of 175% to investors.
With the launch of Sanima Flexi Fund, Sanima Capital aims to provide a structured and well-managed investment vehicle for investors seeking long-term capital appreciation. Interested investors can apply until 11th Falgun 2081, or by 20th Falgun 2081 in case of an extension. Applications can be submitted through banks, financial institutions, or online platforms linked to their C-ASBA accounts. This new scheme is expected to attract significant interest, providing investors with a flexible and professionally managed investment opportunity in Nepal’s capital market.
