RADHI Profitable in Q4; Revenue from Power Sales Decline Marginally

Radhi Bidyut Company Limited (RADHI) has published its fourth-quarter report as per which it has a little more than doubled its Net profits by 121.33 percent. As of FY 2079-80 last quarter, the company has made Rs. 11.27 crores, as opposed to earning only Rs. 5.09 crores until the corresponding quarter of the previous FY 2078-79.
The revenue from power sales—which is the major income revenue stream for hydropower companies, has dropped by 4.82 percent, totaling Rs. 12.84 crores, as of FY 2079-80.
The Financial Cost incurred by the hydropower company has decreased by a considerable 32.86 percent, amounting to Rs. 1.42 crores until the end of the previous FY.
Despite an increase in the Net profits, the Earnings per Share (EPS) of the company has decreased to stand at Rs. 6.73, alongside an almost steady Net worth per Share of Rs. 120.54.
The PE Ratio of the company is 34.78 times.
RADHI maintains Rs. 1.67 Arba in paid-up capital and Rs. 34.43 crore in the form of other equity, as of FY 2079-80's end.
Frequent issues in the 33kV transmission line of the NEA have directly impacted electricity production. Flooding has caused damage to the Radhi Sana Hydropower Project's Headwork and Headrace Pipe, halting electricity production. Repair and maintenance are currently underway, and this information has been communicated to the insurance company.
