Rastra Utthan Laghubitta To Be Acquired by Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has issued an official circulation regarding the merger/acquisition between Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ALBSL) and Rastra Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (RULB).

Regarding the aforementioned, on Chaitra 29, 2079, Asha Laghubitta, which has its registered (central) office at Banepa, and Rashtra Utthan Lagubitta, which has its registered office in Sanga, signed the initial memorandum of understanding (MOU). Accordingly, it has been agreed that Rastra Utthan Laghubitta will be acquired by Asha Laghubitta. 

The current paid-up capital of RULB and ALBSL is Rs. 26 Crores and Rs. 38.16 Crores, respectively. Last year, RULB issued 8,50,000 units worth Rs 8.50 crore as Initial Public Offering to the general public. Also, ALBSL distributed 5% dividend for the fiscal year 2078/79.

As of writing, the last trading price of ALBSL and RULB as of 13 April, 2023 is Rs. 764 and Rs. 677, respectively.
