Rastriya Banijya Bank Employees Association of Nepal Celebrates 35th Anniversary
The 35th anniversary of the Rastriya Banijya Bank Employees Association of Nepal was celebrated with various programs. The main event was inaugurated by CPN-UML Vice President and former Finance Minister Surendra Prasad Pandey, who emphasized the need for a cooperative approach to employee bonuses and tax rates.
Rastriya Banijya Bank Employees Union Nepal President Laxmi Prasad Pandey called for management to address employee demands properly or face action under the Trade Union Act. Key figures, including leaders from the CPN-UML, various employee unions, and the bank's management, attended the event. Discussions covered professional rights, welfare, and organizational promotion.
The celebration included flag hoisting, tree planting, a blood donation drive with 75 participants, and awards for performance and essay competitions. The Far West Regional Committee received the Running Shield for best performance, and prizes were awarded to winners of the essay and musical chair competitions.
A sanitary pad vending machine was installed at the bank's central office, and a health awareness program was conducted by senior cardiologist Dr. Om Murthy Anilsag. The event concluded with a welcome speech by Senior Vice President Badri Prasad Timilsana, attended by various dignitaries and employees.
