Reliable Nepal Life Insurance Reports 66.99% Profit Surge in Q1, Annualized EPS Reaches Rs. 17.19

Reliable Nepal Life Insurance Limited (RNLI) has delivered a remarkable financial performance in the first quarter of fiscal year 2081/82, achieving a 66.99% increase in net profit. The company’s net profit rose to Rs. 19.93 Crores, up from Rs. 11.94 Crores in the same quarter of the previous year.
RNLI's financial base includes a paid-up capital of Rs. 4.64 Arba and a share premium of Rs. 1.75 Arba, with additional reserves comprising Rs. 91.38 Crores in retained earnings, Rs. 7.06 Crores in other equity, and Rs. 18.76 Crores in catastrophe reserves.
The quarter saw a 20.11% growth in net premiums, totaling Rs. 1.12 Arba, alongside Rs. 43.95 Crores generated from investments, loans, and other financial activities. However, net claims surged by 48.37% to Rs. 1.25 Arba, and commission expenses rose by 5.27% to Rs. 12.55 Crores.
RNLI’s key financial indicators remain strong, with an annualized earnings per share (EPS) of Rs. 17.19, a net worth per share of Rs. 162.99, and a Price-to-Earnings (P/E) ratio of 29.80, highlighting its solid financial standing and value for shareholders.
