Results of Local Level By-Election 2081 Announced

The vote count for the local level by-election 2081 held on Sunday has concluded, with results now public.

In Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, Rojina Shrestha of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSSP) emerged victorious as the ward chairperson, defeating her closest competitor, Laxmi Ratna Maharjan of CPN (UML), who secured 2,220 votes.

In Kirtipur Municipality-1, Ichha Kumar Maharjan of the Nepali Congress claimed the ward chairperson post with 562 votes, outpacing Harsh Maharjan of CPN (UML), who received 498 votes.

From Taplejung district's Sirijunga Rural Municipality-3, Kumari Sauden of CPN (UML) was elected chairperson with 353 votes, ahead of Ambi Sauden of CPN (Maoist Centre), who garnered 251 votes.

In Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Arjun Prasad Tiwari of the Nepali Congress secured the ward chairperson role with 2,063 votes, while Rabin Kumar Pradhan of CPN (Maoist Centre) trailed with 1,560 votes.

In Mahottari's Ramgopalpur Municipality-2, Sakibul Khan of CPN (UML) won the ward chairperson position by receiving 631 votes, surpassing Aiti Kumari Yadav of CPN (Maoist Centre), who obtained 534 votes.
