Revised Interest Rates for Poush: NIC Asia and NMB Lead, Laxmi Sunrise Offers Lowest

Commercial banks in Nepal have announced revised interest rates for the month of Poush. According to the published data, while some banks have increased their rates compared to Mangsir, others have reduced them, and the majority have maintained the same rates as in the previous month.

Among the 20 commercial banks, 14 have retained their maximum interest rates on individual term deposits from Mangsir, whereas three banks have reduced these rates, and three others have implemented an increase.

NIC Asia Bank stands out as the institution offering the highest interest rate on individual fixed deposits for Poush, with a maximum rate of 6.6%. However, this represents a decline of 0.19 percentage points from the previous month. Conversely, Laxmi Sunrise Bank offers the lowest rate for such deposits, providing a maximum of 5.5% for the month of Poush.
