Riders Set to Conquer Umling La in the Great Himalayan Odyssey
A group of nine riders on Bajaj Dominar 400 motorcycles is set to embark on a historic 20-day expedition, titled The Great Himalayan Odyssey, to Umling La, the world's highest motorable road at 5,883 meters (19,300 feet). This monumental journey will cover over 6,000 kilometers, starting from Bikers Café in Naxal, Kathmandu.
Amit Raj Chalise, Head of Marketing at Bajaj Motorcycles, expressed excitement about the challenge, highlighting the endurance of both the riders and their machines. Team captain Manish Devkota shared his anticipation, stating that reaching Umling La has been a long-held dream for many riders.
The expedition, beginning on 15th October 2024, aims to showcase the capabilities of the Bajaj Dominar 400 and the determination of Nepali riders, promising an inspiring adventure through challenging Himalayan terrains.
