Rs. 41 Billion Worth of Deposit Risen On The End of Bhadra, Lending Up by Rs. 2 Billion; Present CD Ratio Stands 87.68%

Nepal Bankers' Association (NBA) has unveiled an elaborate report on the trend of deposit and lending in the Nation's Commercial banks. This is the data reported as of end of Bhadra, 2079. The CD ratio till Bhadra 31, 2079 was 87.63%. However, the same ratio as of 1st Ashwin stood at 87.68%.

The total deposit figure has risen by Rs. 41 billion (Arba) in the end of Bhadra, and the figure stood at Rs. 4437 billion. In the third week of Bhadra, this figure had risen by Rs. 8 billion from the week before that. In total Rs. 4374 billion worth of deposits are in local currency while the rest Rs. 111 billion is in foreign currency.

Meanwhile, the total lending has also gone up by Rs. 2 billion, and the total figure stood at Rs. 4190 billion. Rs. 4161 billion worth of lending has been forwarded in local currency while Rs. 29 billion is in foreign currency.

Among the commercial banks, Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited (RBB) reports higher deposit with increment of Rs. 15.45 Billion (6.40%) from Shrawan end to Bhadra end, followed by Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) which is risen by 4.27%.

Likewise, NMB Bank Limited (NMB) reports higher lending with increment of Rs. 4.32 Billion (2.39%) from Shrawan end to Bhadra end, followed by NIC Asia Bank Limited (NIC) which is risen by 2.16%.
