All four ministers from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) returned from the residence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in Baluwatar without resigning today.

The RSP ministers, who had gone to Baluwatar to submit their resignations, decided not to resign after a conversation with Prime Minister Dahal. Santosh Pariyar, chief whip of the RSP, stated that the ministers did not resign after PM Dahal assured them he would face a vote of confidence in parliament.

This morning, the RSP ministers, including RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, who serves as the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, Dol Prasad Aryal, Minister for Labor and Employment, Sumana Shrestha, Minister for Education, and Birajbhakta Shrestha, Minister for Youth and Sports, met with the Prime Minister with the intention of resigning.

On Wednesday, the CPN-UML withdrew its support to the government, and its ministers submitted their resignation letters. This political shift has left the government in a minority after the CPN-UML broke its alliance with the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) and formed a new coalition with the Nepali Congress (NC).
