The latest issue of confusion among investors has been C-ASBA. People seem to have lack of knowledge about the fundamental aspects of C-ASBA. There has been an ongoing rumor in the market that the investors will be able to apply for shares only through online process under C-ASBA.  But these rumors are completely baseless. In a public notice issued today by Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), the board has clarified the matter stating various topics related to the matter. C-ASBA was introduced by the CDS and Clearing Limited for making the whole process of application systematic, quick and efficient. The Centralized Application for ASBA Based Issuance (C-ASBA) registration number should be compulsorily taken from the bank and financial institutions in which they have a bank account. After getting registered in the C-ASBA, an investor willing to apply online will be able to do so, while for those shareholders who are not able to apply online may apply by filling C-ASBA form in the respective banking institutions. The board has made it clear from the notice that the investors after getting registered in C-ASBA may apply online or by filling form in the banks. Notice
