Sahas Urja Achieves 16.07% Rise in Q1 Net Profit Despite Decline in Core Revenue; Annualized EPS Reaches Rs. 45.74

Sahas Urja Limited (SAHAS) has demonstrated strong financial growth in the first quarter of fiscal year 2081/82, reporting a 16.07% increase in net profit. The company’s net profit reached Rs. 40.02 crores in Q1 2081/82.

The company’s reserves and surplus climbed by 18.67%, amounting to Rs. 2.96 arba, which signifies a strengthened financial foundation. Investments in property, plant, and equipment rose by 11.13%, reaching Rs. 15.51 crores. The company’s long-term borrowings decreased by 10.32% to reach Rs. 9.11 Arba from Rs. 10.15 crores in Q1 2080/81.

A notable highlight of SAHAS’s performance was the significant reduction in finance expenses, which dropped by 29.32% to Rs. 16.35 crores. As a result of these financial improvements, Sahas Urja’s annualized earnings per share (EPS) also rose by 16.07%, now standing at Rs. 45.74. Additionally, the company’s net worth per share grew by 6.18%, reaching Rs. 184.74.

At the close of the first quarter, SAHAS reported a quarter-end market price of Rs. 485 per share and a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 10.60 times.
