Sampada Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited Hosts Financial Literacy Training

Sampada Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMPDA), based in Bandipur Village, Tanahun District, recently conducted a "Financial Literacy Training" at its Urahari branch. The training, which included a program on financial literacy, savings, and credit benefits, was attended by 81 client members, 20 parents, and 8 employees, totaling 109 participants.

Key figures at the event included CEO Mr. Keshav Kumar Paudel, and trainers Mr. Komal Prasad Joshi, Mr. Bikram Upadhyaya, and Mr. Rima Kadel. The program featured a feeding session and performances related to financial literacy.

Additionally, the institution held a similar training in Thori, Parsa District, with 211 participants. The program emphasized the importance of savings and responsible credit use and included speeches by local officials, highlighting the role of financial institutions in poverty alleviation and community development.

Sampada Laghubitta, which operates 183 branches across 45 districts, provides microfinance services and financial literacy training to over 177,000 poor households. As of the end of Shravan 2081, the institution's investments totaled NPR 9.56 billion, with savings amounting to NPR 2.53 billion.
