Santosh Koirala Elected Unopposed as President of Nepal Bankers' Association

Santosh Koirala, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Machhapuchchhre Bank, has been elected unopposed as the president of the Nepal Bankers' Association. The association serves as a collective platform for CEOs of commercial banks, and Koirala was the sole candidate for the upcoming term.

On Tuesday, another presidential candidate, Ashok Sherchan, the CEO of Prabhu Bank, withdrew his candidacy, paving the way for Koirala to be elected unopposed.

Last week, both Sherchan and Koirala had filed their nominations for the presidential position. Meanwhile, Surendra Regmi, the CEO of Global IME Bank, has been elected as the association’s vice president.
