SEBON Adds IPO Proposals of 3 Companies From Hotel and Tourism Sector and 1 From Investment Sector to Its Pipeline

The IPO proposal of Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited is also added to SEBON's pipeline.

The company has submitted a proposal to the capital market regulator to issue a total of 3,060,000 shares to the local as well as the general public. This will raise Rs. 22.50 crores for the company. The application was submitted on Jestha 22, 2081.

Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited has been appointed the issue manager for the public offering.

Similarly, The IPO proposal of Akama Hotel Limited is in SEBON's pipeline.

The company has submitted a proposal to the capital market regulator to issue a total of 4,500,000 shares with a face value of Rs. 50. This will raise Rs. 22.50 crores for the company. The application was submitted on Ashadh 26, 2081.

Sanima Capital Limited has been appointed the issue manager for the public offering.

Likewise, Thamel Plaza Hotel and Suites Limited has submitted a proposal to the capital market regulator to issue 1,000,000 shares. This will raise Rs. 10 crores for the company. The application was submitted on Kartik 21, 2081.

Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited has been appointed the issue manager for the public offering.

Infomerics Credit Rating Nepal Limited (Infomerics Nepal) has assigned an issuer rating of IRN BB (Is) [Double B (Issuer)]. Issuers with this rating are considered to have a moderate risk of default in meeting their financial obligations on time.

Thamel Plaza Hotel and Suites Limited (TPHS), incorporated on January 5, 2012, and converted to a public limited company on July 13, 2023, operates a four-star hotel under the name ‘Ramada Encore Kathmandu Thamel’ in Thamel, Kathmandu. The hotel, covering 1,170 sq. m. with 90 rooms, began full operations on January 8, 2021. The major shareholder is Mr. Jagannath Gyawali, holding approximately 56% of the company’s shares as of September 13, 2024.

In the same manner, Seed Energy Limited has submitted a proposal to the capital market regulator to issue 1,598,500 shares. This will raise Rs. 15.98 crores for the company. The application was submitted on 4th Chaitra, 2080.

NMB Capital Limited has been appointed the issue manager for the public offering.

ICRA Nepal has assigned a BB-issuer rating to Seed Energy Limited, indicating a moderate risk of default in meeting financial obligations. The rating reflects the company's general creditworthiness and is not specific to any debt instrument. The "+" or "–" sign indicates its relative position within the rating category.

SEED Energy Limited, founded in 2017 as a private limited company and converted to a public limited company in July 2022, is an equity fund investing in hydropower, manufacturing, and hotel sectors. As of mid-October 2023, its paid-up capital is NPR 889 million, held by three investment companies (22% shares) and 55 individual shareholders. Its capital is mainly represented by land and buildings (44%), equity investments in hydropower and other companies (34%), and short-term interest-bearing advances (9%).
