SEBON and NRB sign understanding for exchange of information on insider trading

Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), regulatory authority of securities and exchange market of Nepal, and also a member of International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) has signed an agreement with Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank for mutual co-operation and exchange of information. sebon nrb The MOU was signed in the premises of Ministry of Finance, under which both the apex regulatory bodies will exchange information that might be useful to investigate insider trading, banking frauds and possible risks arising from such financial crimes. The agreement is believed to help both organizations leverage required support from each other to effectively investigate frauds, control money laundering, reduce risk of terrorism financing and improve overall reputation of Nepal’s capital market.
