Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has published news regarding full implementation of C-ASBA. As per the notice published in SEBON website, the decision made by CDS and Clearing Limited (CDSC) to implement C-ASBA fully to make application process more manageable, easier and reliable for both investors and issue managers effective from Magh 9, 2074, SEBON directs CDSC to add one month time duration to be implemented fully. SEBON added that around 2500 branches of 60 Bank and Financial Institutions (BFIs) are providing ASBA services all over the country. Till date, only 25 BFIs are registered with C-ASBA. So it may take some time to arrange the necessary infrastructures and to provide trainings regarding C-ASBA to the staffs of BFIs. Moreover, taking into consideration of comments and suggestions from the side of investors, ASBA members and other concerned people and authorities, SEBON directs to add the time by 1 month. Lastly, it would be favourable for all the investors to take CRN (C-ASBA Registration Number) timely and will be positively welcomed by all only if time is added.
