SEBON Executive Director Highlights Stock Market's Role in Economic Growth, Commits to Investor Protection

Nabaraj Adhikari, the Executive Director of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), emphasized the critical role of the stock market in supporting Nepal's economic growth and reaffirmed SEBON's commitment to safeguarding investor interests.

Speaking at the 12th-anniversary ceremony of NIMB Ace Capital Limited on Thursday, Adhikari outlined SEBON's ongoing efforts to address the concerns of fiscal management companies while regulating and managing securities-related activities. He lauded the recent monetary policy introduced by the central bank, which aims to invigorate the stock market, and specifically praised the removal of the Rs 200 million cap on institutional share traders.

Former chief secretary Bimal Koirala also addressed the event, highlighting the need for a secure and reliable stock trading system.
