SEBON tries to console irate investors; says it enquired with NEPSE about possibility of bringing market maker at earliest

Following a growing pressure from the investors, SEBON has tried to show as if the regulator is actually working to promote investors’ interest. It has taken a small step to introduce market maker in Nepalese share market by making an enquiry with NEPSE regarding the laters’ current work status in bringing the market maker in the earliest.

The board believes that presence of market maker will help to broaden the scope and business of Nepalese stock market, as mentioned in the media statement. The statement came up after few weeks of having implemented the online stock trading system despite of the fact that the online system is pretty much like a scrap becoming a major headache for the investors.
