The last week of trading for the month of November 2017 ended with the market rising by 44.38 points or 2.97% change to 1537.67 from 1493.29 points which was the closing points of the previous trading week.
The first day of this trading week saw the market climb up 21.05 points or 1.41% to 1514.34, the second day we saw the market move sideways to 1513.74 which is a change of –0.6 points or -0.04% change. The third day we witnessed the NEPSE market move in an upward to 1523.86 which is 10.12 points or 0.67% change, on the fourth day the market continued to move up slightly to 1536.12 which is 12.26 points or 0.8% change. The final day of November saw the market move sideways again this week to gain 0.10% or 1.55 points and the NEPSE market closed with 1537.67 points.
The sensitive index started the week at 314.43 points and ended the week at 324.26 points which a 9.83 points change or 3.12% change, the float and sensitive float index both started the week at 106.9 and 95.22 points and ended the week at 110.44 and 98.46 respectively which is 3.15 points (2.93%) and 2.83 points (2.95%) change for the current week.
The table below shows the performance of the different sub indexes in the NEPSE market and its difference to last week. Trading and manufacturing sectors were the only ones which had negative points and all other sectors end with positive; the highest growth for the week was by hydropower sector which grew a substantially by 8.148% or 156.62 points and closed at 2078.76 points.
