Share Laganikarta Sangh Nepal requests Finance Minister to intervene on rising interest rates
Share Laganikarta Sangh Nepal has requested Ministry of Finance, Nepal Rastra Bank and all concerned regulatory bodies to put forward regulatory interventions on growing interest rates.
Issuing a letter to NRB and Ministry of Finance, the Forum, in a meeting with the Finance Minister, said that they were concerned about banks publishing announcements of higher interest rates. They were especially brought to attention by Nabil Bank and NMB Bank offering 13.02% and 13.05% rates for corporate bulk deposit. Saying this has resulted in anarchical behavior from the banks, the Forum asked regulators to intervene on the matter.
