Surya Nepal Western Open 2025 Set to Challenge Nepal's Top Golfers at Himalayan Golf Course

The 25th edition of the Surya Nepal Western Open, the fourth event of the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2024-25, will be held from January 22-24, 2025, at the Himalayan Golf Course. Organized by the Nepal Professional Golfers Association and sponsored by Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd, the event will feature 34 professional golfers and 18 amateurs competing over 54 holes.

The prize purse has increased to NPR 882,000, with the winner receiving NPR 150,000. The tournament will conclude with a pro-am event on January 25. Defending champion Bhuwan Nagarkoti and other top golfers, including Niraj Tamang and Dhana Thapa, are the main contenders. The Himalayan Golf Course, rated as one of the most adventurous courses globally, has been adjusted for optimal challenge, including a par 69 layout.
