Task Force Formed to Draft Government's Common Minimum Program
A joint task force comprising leaders from the Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML has been formed to draft the government's common minimum program. The decision was made during a meeting of senior leaders held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.
The task force includes Gagan Thapa and Prakash Sharan Mahat, General Secretaries of Nepali Congress, alongside Pradeep Gyawali and Bishnu Rimal, Deputy General Secretaries of CPN-UML.
The meeting also resolved to engage in discussions with other ruling parties to finalize the common minimum program, which will guide the government's priorities and policies.
Although KP Sharma Oli was appointed Prime Minister on July 14 following an agreement reached on July 1, the formulation of a common minimum program is still pending. The task force's work is seen as a crucial step toward consolidating the coalition's shared agenda and guiding future governance efforts.
