Terhathum Power Company (TPC) Reports Net Loss of Rs. 2.78 Crores in Q3; Net Worth Per Share at Below Par Value at Rs. 68.50

Terhathum Power Company Limited (TPC) has reported a net loss in the third quarter (Q3) of the current FY 2079/80. The company reported net loss of Rs. 2.78 Crores in this quarter. Likewise, the company was operating in a net loss of Rs. 5.12 lakhs in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
TPC has collected total revenue of Rs. 9.6 crores till the end of Q3, which has decreased by 8.93%.
On the other hand, the company reports a decline in administrative expenses by 11.69 % whereas the financial expenses has increased by 29.84% to stand at Rs. 8.02 Crores for Q3.
The reserves and surplus of the company stands at a negative Rs. 12.6 crores with share capital at Rs 40 Crores.
According to the management analysis, decrease in level of water along with decrease in energy production is resulting unfavorable performance of the company for the period.
The company has successfully commenced the commercial operation of 7.5 MW Upper Khorunga Khola Small Hydropower Project. After completion of transmission line, the company was able to sale its produced energy to NEA in Take and Pay Basis effective from Bhadra 10, 2078. After full completion of the transmission line company would be able to sale the energy on Take or Pay basis.
Meanwhile, the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) for two MW cascade project-Khorunga Tangmaya Small Hydropower has been completed.
Its annualized earning per share stands at Rs. -9.27. The net worth per share at Rs. 68.50.
