These Two Bond/ Debenture Are Now Listed in NEPSE

35,00,000 units of 8.50% Nepal Bank Debenture 2087 are now listed in NEPSE.
Nepal Bank Limited allotted "8.5% Nepal Bank Rinpatra 2087" to applicants on Jestha 09. The issue opened on Baisakh 22 and closed on Baisakh 31. "8.5% Nepal Bank Rinpatra 2087" is a bond issued by Nepal Bank Limited. As the name suggests, the issue has a coupon rate of 8.5% and will mature in the year 2087 B.S. The coupon rate is simply the annual return on investment promised to the investor.
A total of 35,00,000 were issued at Rs. 1,000 per unit. Of the 5% of total units reserved for mutual funds, only 15,000 units had been distributed. Thus, 13,85,000 units were issued to the general public and the remaining 21,00,000 units were subscribed via private placement. The quantity not subscribed by the general public in their quota has been transferred to the private placement quota.
Similarly, 60,00,000 units of 4% Agricultural Bond of Agriculture Development Bank Limited have also been listed in NEPSE. 1,20,00,000 units were issued at a par value of Rs. 1,000 per unit. Thus, the bond is worth Rs. 12,00,00,00,000. The entirety of the issue was subscribed via private placement. Half of the bond worth 6 Arba will mature in 8 years and the other half will mature in 9 years.
