Chitwan National Park saw an increase in tourist arrivals in the fiscal year 2023/24 compared to the previous fiscal year. A total of 306,837 tourists visited the park last year, up from 299,412 in the fiscal year 2022/23.

Tourism expert Bishwa Subedi from Bharatpur metropolitan city attributed the increase to the extensive publicity of Chitwan Visit Year at both national and international levels. To further attract foreign tourists, events such as religious programmes, the Devghatdham festival, jungle safari mart, and a marathon are planned. Additionally, the opening of Diyalo Bangla to the public has introduced a new tourism destination for visitors.
