Union Hydropower (UNHPL) Calls AGM; Company to Discuss Right Shares Issuance

Union Hydropower Company Limited (UNHPL) has called its 13th and 14th AGM on Ashad 25. The AGM will commence at 11 pm that day.

One of the agendas of the AGM is to elect a new management committee. Furthermore, the company will also discuss rights issuance to make up for the loan taken for the 3 MW Midim Khola Hydropower Project and viability study for other hydropower projects.

Ashad 15 is the book closure date for the AGM. Thus, investors maintained before that day can attend the meeting. Books will be closed from Ashad 15 to Ashad 25.

The hydropower company has posted an increment in net profit by 15.14% in the third quarter (Q3) of the current FY 2077/78. The profit increased to Rs. 89.67 lakhs in this quarter from Rs. 77.88 lakhs in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. UNHPL has sold electricity worth Rs. 5.45 crores.

Its reserve fund stands at Rs. -7.42 crores with share capital at Rs 75.00 crores. The short-term and long-term borrowings of the company stood at Rs. 15.90 crores by the end of the third quarter. The company sits in a fair liquidity position of 9.16 times. The acceptable ratio is 1.5 times.

Its annualized earning per share stands at Rs. 1.59. The net worth per share at Rs 90.10 and the P/E ratio stood at 82.17 times.
