Unique Nepal Laghubitta reports strong growth in major indicators for second quarter; net profits at Rs.4.07 Crore

Unique Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has published its second quarter (Q2) report of FY 2076/77. The microfinance has reported a net profit of Rs.4.07 Crore, which is a 454% rise from the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Similarly, its net interest income has also increased from Rs.1.45 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year to Rs.10.76 Crore till the second quarter of 2076/77. Its paid-up capital stands at Rs.9.60 Crore with reserve and surplus of Rs.12.37 Crore.
The company has borrowings of Rs.57.78 Crore till the second quarter, falling from Rs.65.58 Crore in the corresponding quarter of last year. Likewise, it has extended loans and advances of Rs.2.51 Arba till Q2 whereas in the same period last year the figure stood at Rs.1.95 Arba. The deposits stood at Rs.1.67 Arba.
Its non-performing loan (NPL) has increased to 1.92% in Q2 from 1.63% in the previous year report. The company is yet to float IPO to the general public.
