Volatility in the market continues as NEPSE loses 3.74 points; turnover still satisfactory at 55 Crore

The volatile market, that saw brief gains and huge losses ended to lose 3.74 points and closed at 1255.07 points marking a loss of 0.30%. The total turnover today was of Rs.55.50 Crore which was achieved from trade of 2,015,829 units of shares through 5,966 transactions trading scrips of 167 companies.
Sanima Mai Hydropower Company (SHPC) topped the highest turnover and shares traded list with turnover of Rs.7.46 Crore achieved through trade of 246,708 units of shares while the total turnover of the Hydropower sector was at Rs.10.19 Crore.

Sensitive Index fell by 0.51 points and closed at 266.09 points while Float Index fell by 0.24 points and closed at 90.98 points.
Trading sun-index remained unchanged as Hotels, Development Bank and Ohers sub-indices gained. All the other sub-indices saw a loss today. Hotels sub-index was the top gainer after gaining 1.1% while Non-Life Insurance sector lost the most after losing 1.75%.
