Westerly Winds Bring Cooler Temperatures Across Nepal, Light Rain Likely in Hilly Areas
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently experiencing the effects of westerly winds, with local winds also impacting the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
With the monsoon season over, temperatures across Nepal, including the Kathmandu Valley, have dropped. Kathmandu's minimum temperature was recorded at 16°C today, with the maximum expected to range between 26°C and 28°C.
The department forecasts partly to generally cloudy skies in the hilly areas, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear weather. Light rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is possible in a few areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two locations in other hilly parts of the country.
