With a 0.07% Uptick, NEPSE Settles at 2,968.44 Level; Five Scrips Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index witnessed a minimal incline today to close at 2,968.44 points, an increase of 2.11 points or 0.07% from the previous session. In the previous session, the index had lost 34.47 points to close at 2,966.33 levels.

The trading day saw the index open at 2,981.03 points and fluctuate significantly, reaching an intraday high of 3,002.74 points and a low of 2,943.61 points before settling at its closing value.

Intense trading activity marked the session, with 337 scrips traded across 214,319 transactions, involving 41,454,611 shares and resulting in a turnover of Rs. 18.90 Arba. The market capitalization soared to Rs. 47.14 Kharba, while the float market capitalization reached Rs. 16.63 Kharba.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the market in turnover, with Rs. 66.02 Crores, closing at Rs. 980 per share.

Five companies hit the upper circuit limit of 10%.

Meanwhile, Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL) experienced the biggest loss, dropping by 10%.

Sector-wise, the "Finance Index" led with a 4.99% increase, while the "Trading Index" saw the largest decline, falling by 2.09%, rounding out a day marked by both significant gains and losses across the market.
