Yogen Mandal Initiates Roadside Tree Planting Campaign in Morang

Yogen Mandal, an independent MP from Morang's Number 5 constituency, has launched a roadside tree planting campaign starting from Dhanpalthan Gaunapalika 4, Karsiya Bazar to the Indian border area in Morang.

The campaign, inaugurated by Jeevan Bikas Samaj in coordination with Parliament, received support from Dhanpalthan Gaunapalika and Met Life Insurance.

Initially, 500 saplings were planted, with plans to extend planting to all blacktop roads in Zone No. 5 under the 'Save the Earth' campaign.

The initiative aims to mitigate environmental harm caused by black-paved roads and involve locals in protecting the planted trees.

Various stakeholders, including Bishal Ghimire from the Ministry of Tourism, Forestry, and Environment, emphasized continuous support for tree plantation and environmental conservation.
