First week of Jestha sees 0.81% increase in deposits and 0.86% increase in lending of commercial banks

The start of new year 2075 has brought gradual increment in the deposit collection as well as credit disbursement of commercial banks. However looking at the latest data i.e. of Jestha 04, 2075 we can see that the lending has increased by Rs. 17 arba, whereas the deposit has gone up by Rs 19 arba.

So percentage wise, the increment in lending is high but in absolute numbers the increment in deposits is higher. Thus in bigger picture, we can see that the banks are gradually collecting liquid funds from the market and disbursing it at the same time.

After the budget announcement and release of government funds, such shortage can be further relaxed increasing the supply of money in the system.
