“We are around 100 people gathered in this hall today to mark the beginning of Coke Kham Russia Jam campaign. I wish someone present here will be one of the lucky ones who get to go Russia.” These were the words put forward by the representative speaker from Coca-Cola Nepal at the lavish function that was being organized by Bottlers Nepal at Hotel Radisson to kick start the Campaign “Coke Kham Russia Jam” under which the company would be sending 40  coke lovers of the nation that drinking Fanta, Coke or Sprite to Russia. The fervor of FIFA World Cup was slowly gripping the soccer lovers of the nation and Coca-Cola had managed to gather large number of people from media fraternity to let the public know that drinking a bottle of Fanta, Coke and Sprite can actually make 40 of these soccer lovers eligible to travel to Russia during the month of June-July; not for some superficial trips but to witness the biggest carnival of world soccer where great football teams with great players like Messi, Ronaldo, Salah, Schwarez and many more would be rubbing their shoulders for their respective countries for that most-prized World Cup. Sitting somewhere in the crowd was MS Aakriti Thakali who had been to the Hotel Radisson as a representative of Sharesansar to cover the event. However having never won any sort of lottery in her life, she hadn’t even begun to imagine what it would be like if she really did win. IMG-1721 An event organized by Coca-Cola and how can one not expect some packs of the most liked soft drink? MS Aakriti too couldn’t give up an urge to gulp down one. But who then had expected that, that particular bottle would bring volley of pleasant surprises to her life? “Out of nowhere I felt an urge to pull out my cell phone at that moment. I just checked with the code provided behind the level, typed it in my message window and sent it to 37722. Nowhere in my heart and mind had I ever expected that I would win something like LED TVs or Coke Merchandizes; let alone the opportunity to become part of FIFA World Cup”., remembers Aakriti. Things went by and the days turned into weeks. MS Thakali even didn’t remember that she had submitted the special code from Coke’s level to the Coke Kham Russia Jam contest. “How could someone who hasn’t yet won Rs 50/100 in noodles as a child expect to win gifts and merchandizes only by drinking a bottle of coke?”, she puts it quite clearly. But it appears like the entire Universe was set to conspire for her and as if no force could prevent the good message being passed to her. It was March--- when all of us were busy inside Sharesansar premise with our own news assignments when Aakriti first received a call from an unknown number. MS Thakali still remembers, “First I was asked my name. Once I confirmed my name as Aakriti Thakali and few other details, I was told that I had won an all-expenses covered World Cup tour to Russia. I first tried to remember the date and it was still a month before someone could actually fool around people in a pretense of an April Fool. Speechless I was back then as I could find no word to jut out. After rechecking and confirming that I was actually the luckiest winner, I broke the news among my colleagues who then started asking for treats, gifts from Russia and what not”. The events and character described here aren’t the fictional ones and MS Aakriti Thakali a, new comer in Sharesansar was actually the very first lucky winner to receive the fully-paid trip to Russia this season of World Soccer Carnival. Till this date, 16 more beside MS Aakriti have received confirmation that they would also join the team of 40 luckiest individuals who would head to Russia to witness the dream like games where the greatest players of world football would ramp up the world stage. We as her team-mates and Sharesansar family feel very happy that our colleague would travel to Russia which is not just a matter of Football but an opportunity for great cultural exchange and learning. Coca-Cola which has announced to take 40 winners to Russia for live World Cup watching experience and also announced that 12,600 people would be lucky winners in one or other ways during the entire campaign period 2 lucky winners can win 24" LED TV in a weekly basis. Daily 200 consumers also have the chance to win Coke & FIFA branded merchandise which includes speakers, headphones, USB drive, football and many more exciting prizes! To participate in the campaign, one should look behind the label for the unique code, and type Coke “space”<Unique Code> and send the same via SMS to 37722.
