NEPSE continues its sudden growth; climbs 31.83 points today with a surprising turnover of Rs. 1.13 arba; see the top gainer of the day

The market today was seen extremely volatile, especially during the last hour of trading. The market had opened at 1,331.78 points today, which remained within 20 points fluctuation. However, when the clock hit 2:00 the market climbed from 1,348.73 to directly 1,391.02 in just 30 mins. After that, slight corrections occurred and the index dropped down to 1,363.01.

Looking further into the index, we can see that the unnatural growth was led by scrips of Insurance and Microfinance sector, as was for the last two days. However at the end, the lead was taken by Banks, which influenced slight correction. The huge fluctuation has left the investors indecisive. In a single day the market climbed 40 points and dropped 30 points, which is not so normal.

Today, the market closed with a whopping turnover of Rs. 1.13 arba. A total of 2.4 lakh shares were today via 11,503 transactions.

United Insurance (UIC) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 5.9 crore worth shares were traded. Likewise, Kumari Bank (KBL) stood at top in case of number of shares traded as 94,258 unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, Ngadi Group Power (NGPL) was the top gainer of the day as it gained 10% on its price and closed at Rs. 231. Similarly, the 11 other scrips on top gainers list also experienced a growth of more than 9%. Similarly, Asian Life Insurance (ALICL) was the top loser of the day losing 4.27% on its price closing at Rs. 803.

The sub-indices for all sectors increased today and landed in green zone. Among all, the Hydropower sector gained the most by 107.73 points whereas the least gainer was trading sector climbing by only 4.39 point.
