NEPSE takes corrective stance; goes further down by 15.99 points closing at 1,394.86 points

NEPSE index has declined by 15.99 points or 1.13% today adding to yesterday’s fall of 27 points. The market had opened at 1,410.85 points and dived 20 points within half an hour of trading. Within another half hour the index spiked up to 1,413 points, and kept fluctuating throughout the day ultimately closing in the red zone down at 1,394.86 points.

Total turnover worth Rs 73 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 17.2 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day. The turnover value today is significantly lower compared to the turnover of past few days.

Century Commercial Bank (CCBL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 2.86 crore worth of shares were traded. Similarly, Progressive Finance Limited Promoter Share (PROFLP) was also the top in case of number of shares traded as 1.6 lakh unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, the top gainer for the day is National Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (NMBFBS) whose price increased by 6.53% closing at Rs. 2,514. And, Shangrila Development Bank (SADBL) was the top loser of the day losing 5.36% on its price.

The sub-indices for all sectors except Trading ended in red zone today. Development Banks lost the most today losing 27.79 points. Similarly the only sector in green, Trading, gained 2.87 points.
