CDS and Clearing Limited is a company promoted by Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) in 2010 to provide centralized depository, clearing and settlement in Nepal. As per the data published by CDSC, there are 189 companies registered in the company. As of Chaitra 5, 2074, 61 banks are registered in C-ASBA. Clearing member is a member of an exchange clearinghouse. Memberships in clearing organizations are usually held by companies. Clearing members are responsible for the financial commitments of customers that clear through their firm. There are 50 clearing members in total. Depository Participants refers to the organization which holds securities (like shares, debentures, mutual fund units etc.) of investors in electronic form at the request of the investors. As per the update of CDSC, there are 65 depository participants (DPs) and all of them are registered in MEROSHARE. Till date there are 11,97,846 Beneficial Owners’ Demat Account (BOs) and more than 3.23 arba unit shares have been dematerialized. CDSC Update
